What is First?
First Robotics Competition (also known as FRC) stands as a global event where high school students engage in robotics challenges. Annually, teams comprising students, coaches, and mentors collaborate over six weeks to construct robots meeting the requirements of the current year's game, with a maximum weight limit of 125 pounds.
First Events
District Qualifiers
Every season, each team can go to 2 district events that will count for qualification points.
District Championship
Each district has a set amount of teams they can take for their district championships, which can be earned by awards or district points.
First Championship
The top teams from each district get selected for the First Championship. Hundreds of teams globally come to Houston, TX where they showcase their bots.
